Scope of this Privacy Notice
When you download our Mobile Apps, you can control and monitor your Shark or Ninja digitally connected device using your phone or any other compatible device. This Privacy Notice aims to inform you about how we collect, use, disclose, and store personal information when you:
- Use Shark or Ninja connected devices
- Use any mobile application (the “App”) that supports these products
- Participate in a research survey or product test
- Contact us and we respond to your requests or questions
- Sign up to receive marketing communications or offers
What is a digitally connected device?
A digitally connected device is an electronic device that is connected to other devices or networks via wireless protocols such as Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
Who is responsible for your personal information?
SharkNinja is responsible for determining “why” and “how” your personal information is collected. To be able to deliver our services, we also determine which approved companies we share your personal information with. All these companies are bound by an obligation to implement appropriate security measures and have specific contractual terms on “how” and “when” they are allowed to use your personal information on our behalf.
What personal information do we collect and why?
We collect, hold, and process your personal information in accordance with the applicable data protection laws as follows: SharkNinja Europe Ltd and SharkNinja Operating LLC operate as joint data controllers.

Children
Our products are not designed for children under the age of sixteen (16) years old. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from children, we take every reasonable effort to delete this information.
Sharing and transferring personal information
We may share your data with third parties who support us by providing services to you. For example, usage data may be used by third-party service providers. This only happens when you connect your smart product to the Shark or Ninja Apps. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We have contracts in place with these providers that stipulate they cannot do anything with your personal information without instruction from us and that they provide their service via secure methods. We will also share your personal information if required to do so by law enforcement authorities, regulators, or legal counsel, or as necessary to protect our property, interests, and rights.
In the event of a sale of all or substantially all our business, or another similar transaction (such as a division sale), we may transfer or disclose your personal information to a purchaser or prospective purchaser.
How long do we keep your personal information?
We will only keep personal information for as long as is necessary for the purposes described in this Notice, and as required by law:
- For the duration you have an account with us and are an active user
- Up to 6 years where you purchased a product, to facilitate guarantee and consumer law obligations
- Until the time limit for legal challenges has expired
- Longer where required by relevant legal, tax and accounting obligations
How do we protect your personal information?
SharkNinja is strongly committed to keeping your personal information safe. We have adopted technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access.
We limit access to your personal information to those with a genuine business need. Those processing your information will do so only in an authorized manner and are subject to confidentiality.
While we take every precaution, you are also responsible for keeping your passwords, account details and other user information secure and confidential.
Network Communication Details
The Ninja Woodfire Pro XL WiFi-connected electronic grill Model OG9xx and the Ninja Flex Flame Grill PG305 device use the following ports during operation: ports 80, 85, and 443 for HTTP, HTTPS, and MQTT (encrypted communication channels).
International transfer of personal information
We operate globally and may transfer your personal information to other offices in SharkNinja, or to approved partners worldwide. Transfers will always be for the purposes described in this Notice, and only where we are satisfied with protection measures in line with privacy legislation.
Transfers of personal information within SharkNinja (including those outside the EEA) are governed by intercompany agreements. For third-party transfers, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
Your data protection rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), you may have the following rights:

- Right to request deletion of your personal information

Applicable Products: Shark PowerDetect NeverTouch Pro 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum and Mop RV2800ZEEU; Shark Matrix Plus 2-in-1 Self-Empty Robot Vacuum and Mop RV2620WAEUWH; and Shark Matrix Plus 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum and Mop RV2620WDEUWH marketed in the EU.
Purpose of this Notice
This notice explains how SharkNinja Germany GmbH, Rotfeder-Ring 9, 60327 Frankfurt am Main, enables access to data generated by your connected device in accordance with the EU Data Act (Regulation (EU) 2023/2854). It supplements our Connected Devices Privacy Notice, which covers the processing of personal data under the GDPR.
What Data is Collected or Generated
We only collect the data necessary to ensure the proper functioning of your products, facilitate their use, and help us develop and improve our current and future products.
The data collected and generated by your SharkNinja connected products is as follows:

Data Storage
Data is stored in structured digital formats, such as CSV. The data varies depending on the product, feature, and user activity, and is limited to what is necessary to provide operation, support, and personalisation.
SharkNinja App: The app securely syncs data from your devices with the SharkNinja cloud to enable remote access, personalised settings, and troubleshooting.
Connected Products: Some operational data remains stored locally on the device. Data may be transmitted to SharkNinja cloud servers for service, support, or product improvement purposes.
Data Retention
Product-generated data is retained for as long as necessary to support device functionality, maintenance, or as required by law. Data shared with authorised third parties is deleted or anonymised once the purpose of the access has been fulfilled.
Who Can Access the Data
Under the EU Data Act, the following persons may access product-generated data:
- You, the user, through your app.
- Authorised third parties, such as repairers, distributors, or service partners that you designate or that we engage to provide warranty, maintenance, or safety support.
Access is provided on fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory (FRAND) terms.
How You Can Access the Data
SharkNinja App: Certain data, such as usage information, can be accessed through the SharkNinja App. You can access this in the “Account/Data Management” settings in the app.
Where any of this data can identify you, for example through your user account, we treat it as personal data and process it in accordance with this Privacy Notice.
You may request a copy of your product data through our web form or by emailing [email protected].
If you authorise a third party, we will verify your identity and provide access through a secure transfer method in accordance with applicable law.
Access will be limited to the data necessary for the agreed purpose, such as repair or troubleshooting.
Sharing and Transfer of Data
We will transfer data securely using appropriate technical methods to protect your data.
Third parties selected by you to receive data relating to your device must agree to contractual safeguards, including confidentiality, deletion, and no further disclosure.
Information relating to trade secrets and intellectual property is protected, and we may obscure elements that could reveal protected technology in accordance with applicable law.
