Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 4 maple or plain sausage patties (3 ounces each)
  • 4 glazed donuts, cut in half lengthwise
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Utensils needed

  • Ninja® Foodi® XL Pro Grill & Griddle

Instructions

Step 1
To install the grill grate, slide it into the front of the base so it hooks in, then press down on the back until it clicks into place. Install griddle on top of grill grate so it sits flat. Select BBQ GRIDDLE, set temperature to 400°F, and set time to 17 minutes. Close the hood and press the dial to begin preheating (preheating will take approximately 10 minutes).

Step 2
When unit beeps to signal it has preheated, open hood, add the butter to the griddle, and coat the plate. Place donut halves cut side down on griddle. Leave hood open to begin cooking. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until golden brown and toasted. Remove donuts from griddle and set aside.

Step 3
Place sausage patties on griddle. Leave hood open and cook for 8 minutes, flipping halfway through. Remove sausage patties from griddle and set aside.

Step 4
Crack eggs on griddle. Leave hood open and cook for 2 minutes. Close hood and cook for an additional 1 to 2 minutes. Open hood and top with cheese. Close hood and cook until cheese melts, about 2 minutes.

Step 5
When cooking is complete, remove the eggs from the griddle and place on the donut halves with 1 sausage patty. Close the sandwich with the remaining donut halves.
