Ingredients

  • 1 block (16 ounces) extra-firm tofu, packed in water, drained, patted dry, cut in 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • Canola oil spray
  • 1/2 cup water, for steaming
  • 1/3 cup prepared hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon prepared chili-garlic sauce

Utensils needed

  • Large Bowl
  • Small Bowl
  • Whisk

Instructions

Step 1
In a large bowl, add the cubed tofu and cornstarch. Toss until the tofu is fully coated. Then evenly spray tofu with canola oil.

Step 2
Add 1/2 cup water to the pot. Spray the Cook & Crisp Basket with canola oil spray, then place the basket in the pot. Add the tofu to the basket, spreading it evenly across the basket. Close the lid and move slider to STEAMCRISP.

Step 3
Select STEAM & CRISP, set temperature to 390°F, and set time to 15 minutes. Press START/STOP to begin cooking (PrE will display for approx. 8 minutes as the unit steams, then the timer will start counting down).

Step 4
While the tofu cooks, whisk together the hoisin and chili-garlic sauces in a small bowl.

Step 5
When the cooking is complete, remove the basket from pot. Serve warm with chili-garlic hoisin dipping sauce.
