Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup orange marmalade
  • 3 tablespoons light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon peeled minced fresh ginger
  • garlic clove, minced
  • 4 (8-ounce) skin-on salmon fillets

Utensils needed

  • Cooking Pot

Instructions

Step 1
In a large bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, orange marmalade, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic until the sugar is dissolved. Set aside one-quarter of the marinade in a small bowl. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the marinade in the large bowl.

Step 2
Insert the Grill Grate and close the hood. Select GRILL, set the temperature to MED, and set the time to 12 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin preheating.

Step 3
When the unit beeps to signify it has preheated, place the salmon fillets on the Grill Grate, skin-side down. Spoon the remaining marinade in the large bowl over the fillets. Close the hood and cook for 10 minutes.

Step 4
After 10 minutes, open the hood and brush the reserved marinade in the small bowl over the fillets. Close the hood and cook for 2 minutes more.

Step 5
When cooking is complete, the salmon will be opaque and should flake easily with a fork. (If you want, you can also use the Smart Thermometer at the end of cooking to check that the internal temperature of the salmon has reached 145°F.) Remove the fillets from the grill and serve.
