Ingredients

  • 1–1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce, shredded
  • 1 avocado, peeled, seed removed, mashed
  • 4 whole wheat hamburger buns

Utensils needed

  • Deluxe Reversible Rack (top layer only)

Instructions

Step 1
Place the Deluxe Reversible Rack in the lower position, then place in the pot. Place the chicken breasts on the rack.

Step 2
In a small bowl, add the chicken broth, garlic powder, and black pepper. Whisk until combined, then pour the mixture over the chicken in the pot.

Step 3
Close the lid and move slider to STEAMCRISP. Select STEAM & CRISP, set temperature to 375°F, and set time to 15 minutes. Press START/STOP to begin cooking (PrE will display for approx. 20 minutes as the unit steams, then the timer will start counting down).

Step 4
When cooking is complete, carefully remove the chicken from the pot, shake off any excess liquid, then shred with a fork.

Step 5
To build the sandwiches, spread the avocado on the bottom half of the hamburger buns, then top with shredded chicken, lettuce, and the other half of the bun.
