Ninja Coffee Makers FAQs
How to make coffee:
Making great coffee at home starts with choosing the right machine for your brew style. With a Ninja coffee maker like the Ninja Fresh Brew™ (CE451), simply fill the water reservoir, add your ground coffee to the filter basket (about 1–2 tablespoons per 6 oz of water), select your brew size and style, and press brew. For more versatility, the Ninja® DualBrew Pro Coffee Maker (CFP301) lets you brew everything from a classic cup to a rich, concentrated specialty coffee using grounds or pods, all with a built-in frother for lattes and cappuccinos. For more compact machines that offer the same versatility, the Ninja Single-Serve Pods & Grounds Specialty Coffee Maker offers all the functionality in single-serve sizes.
How much caffeine is in a cup of coffee?
A standard 8 oz drip coffee contains roughly 80–100 mg of caffeine, while a single espresso shot has about 60–70 mg. Brew style and concentration matter, the Ninja DualBrew and Luxe Café series offer multiple brew sizes and concentration settings, so you can dial in a stronger or lighter cup depending on how much of a boost you need.
How to make iced coffee:
The easiest way to make iced coffee at home is to use a machine with a dedicated "Brew Over Ice" setting. The Ninja® Single-Serve Pods & Grounds Coffee Maker (PB051) and the Ninja DualBrew Hot & Iced Coffee Maker (CFP101) both feature this, they brew a concentrated shot directly over a cup filled with ice, chilling the coffee instantly without diluting the flavor. Simply fill your cup with ice, select the "Over Ice" brew setting, and enjoy a café-style iced coffee in minutes.
How to make cold brew coffee:
Cold brew is made by steeping coarsely ground coffee in cold water for an extended period, resulting in a smooth, low-acidity concentrate. Several Ninja machines take the guesswork out of it, the Ninja Hot & Iced XL Coffee Maker (CM371) produces a single-serve cup of cold brew in as little as 10–15 minutes using its Rapid Cold Brew setting, while the Ninja DualBrew (GP161) and the Ninja Luxe™ Café Pro (ES701) also offer built-in cold brew modes. Just add coarse grounds (or whole beans for the Luxe Café) and cold water, select the cold brew setting, and you're done — no overnight wait required.
How to clean coffee maker:
Ninja coffee machines have many dishwasher safe parts making it easy-to-clean your machine. Please refer to the instruction booklet for more information on de-scaling, performing hard water tests and other recommended maintenance.
Which coffee beans are the best?
There’s a world of amazing coffee out there, with a bean to suit every taste. And there’s no better way to explore the world of coffee than by trying out different beans.
Not sure where to start? There are two main types of coffee beans - Arabica and Robusta:
Arabica: Usually lower caffeine, but with a brighter, fruitier flavour.
Robusta: Typically, low acidity with higher caffeine content, with a deeper, richer body.
Light roasts are a good option if you like coffee that’s bright, floral and acidic - ideal for filter coffee. While medium roasts offer more balanced flavours, with notes of spice and fruit – good all-rounders. And as the name suggests, dark roasts offer the boldest flavours, often with hints of chocolate – perfect for rich espresso and filter coffee.
