Strawberry Waffles with Cheesecake Ice Cream

- 6 tablespoons cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk

Waffles
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 ½ ounces freeze-dried strawberries, divided
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups whole milk
- 3 tablespoons canola oil
- 3 large eggs
- 2-3 drops red food dye (optional)
For Serving
- Fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions
Step 1
To prepare the ice cream base, in a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, vanilla extract, and sugar for 1-2 minutes or until well combined. Add cream and milk and mix until smooth.
Step 2
Pour base into an empty CREAMi® Breeze™ Pint. Place storage lid on pint and freeze for 24 hours.
Step 3
Remove pint from freezer and remove storage lid from pint. Place pint in outer bowl, install CreamerizerTM Paddle onto outer bowl lid, and lock the lid assembly on the outer bowl. Place bowl assembly on motor base and twist the handle right to raise the platform and lock in place.
Step 4
Select ICE CREAM.
Step 5
With a spoon, create a 1 ½ -inch wide hole that reaches the bottom of the pint. Add the crushed graham crackers to the hole and process again using the MIN-IN program.
Step 6
When processing is complete, remove ice cream from pint and serve immediately with the warm waffles and other toppings as desired.
Step 1
The next day, to prepare the waffles, in a medium bowl, add flour, baking powder, and salt and whisk until fully combined. Grind one ounce of the freeze-dried strawberries to a powder and set aside.
Step 2
In a large bowl, add sugar, vanilla extract, milk, oil, eggs and the strawberry powder and whisk until smooth.
Step 3
Gently fold the flour mixture into the batter in the large bowl until a smooth batter forms. Fold in the remaining crushed freeze-dried strawberries. Let the batter rest for 5 minutes to ensure full activation of leaveners.
Step 4
While batter is resting, turn waffle maker on by adjusting the shade selection knob to your desired shade setting (Level 3 is recommended for this recipe). The red LED light will illuminate, indicating the waffle maker is preheating. The unit is preheated when it beeps and the green LED light illuminates.
Step 5
Fill PrecisionPour Cup to the minimum fill line with the prepared batter, then pour into unit. Cooking will automatically begin after batter is added and the red LED light illuminates.
Step 6
The waffle is done cooking when the green LED light illuminates. Remove finished waffle with silicone-tipped tongs or a non-metal cooking utensil.
Step 7
To cook the remaining batter, close unit, and repeat steps 8 and 9. Keep waffles warm while you process the ice cream.
