Ingredients

DONUTS

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/4 cups whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1–2 teaspoons peppermint extract
  • Nonstick cooking spray

GANACHE

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

TOPPINGS (optional)

  • 1.47o1 /4 cupz crushed peppermint
  • 1/4 cup mini marshmallows

Utensils needed

  • Donut Pan
  • Large Bowl
  • Medium Bowl

Instructions

Step 1
Install the SearPlate in the bottom level of the unit, then close the door. Select RAPID BAKE, set temperature to 350°F, and set time to 10 minutes. Press the setting dial to begin preheating.

Step 2
In a large bowl, add the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and sugar. Mix until fully combined. Then add the butter, milk, eggs, and peppermint extract, as desired. Mix until a smooth batter forms.

Step 3
Spray a donut pan with nonstick cooking spray. Then evenly fill each donut mold 3/4 of the way with the prepared batter.

Step 4
 When unit is preheated, open the door and place the donut pan on the SearPlate. Close the door to begin cooking.

Step 5
 When unit is preheated, open the door and place the donut pan on the SearPlate. Close the door to begin cooking.

Step 6
When baking is complete, carefully remove the donut pan and place on top of oven. Allow donuts to cool for 10 minutes. Dip each donut in the prepared ganache and transfer to a wire rack. Top with crushed peppermints and mini marshmallows, as desired.
